selflove Iโ€™ve been doing a lot of work on myself in this time of self-isolation, and one thing I have been particularly focused on is diminishing my ego - so I can truly experience freedom and connection with the light! I was a bit shocked to discover all the areas my ego was showing up... of course the obvious places like caring what other people think ๐Ÿค” or everytime I get reactive or defensive - but alot of them were unexpected ... such as not having trust and certainty that everything will work out, because that means that I think I can control the outcome of things... in light of these realizations Iโ€™m taking some time away from social media, Iโ€™m not sure how long - but I need some self care, calm time and more inner work! Most people think that this 'S' on my desk stands for my name. The truth is, I bought it because it reminded me to make sure I have plenty of this in my day : self love, personal space and a smile.
Everyday irrespective of how late it is, I take out some time for myself. I wear my eyeliner,  and my smile and
I sit at my desk for a bit. This is where I work, create and exercise. This is where I refill my cup of self-love because unless I care for myself too, how would I help the rest?
I write snippets and musings, I look out of my window, I crochet, I dream, I switch off. 
I've surrounded my desk and walls with hand made art and crochet, many created by me and a few by my son.  They make me smile, they make up my happy space and they make me forward to this time as eagerly as I await a new morning. 
So,
Go find your happy corner
Make self love a habit
Nourish your mind 
Nurture your soul
Keep that cup refilled.
Smile often

A lot of us try to adopt better habits on this lockdown period. Itโ€™s hard because we have to endure all the bad ones we have adopted in the course of our lives. Letโ€™s replace a bad habit with a good one.
Every time we resist a temptation, the stronger we get, and the easier will it be for us to do so next time. But every time we yield to the temptation, the easier it becomes to yield again.
As time passes good habits start to become more and more enjoyable. Experts talk about 21 days. At the end these habits are embraced. 
Ex : 
2018 hated reading. 2020 never spend a day without 30mins reading
2018 Endless sleep ins 2020 Wake up at 07:00 max 7/7 โ€ข

A chaque fois quโ€™on va rรฉsister ร  une tentation, le plus fort on va devenir, et le plus facile ce sera de rรฉsister ร  la temptation. Lโ€™inverse aussi fonctionne, ร  chaque fois quโ€™on cรจde le plus facile ce sera de lรขcher ensuite.
Plus le temps passe plus ces bonnes habitudes seront agrรฉables. Les experts disent 21 jours. A la fin ces habitudes sont chรฉries.

I was told that I may have to deal with symptoms of it forever. But what I really discovered is it was not apart of me at all. It wasnโ€™t who I was. selflove Which is why I abandoned writing, drawing...every kind of creativity in my life for sooooo long!! Even while times I havenโ€™t had acne for years! So in this point Iโ€™m really #grateful of having acne. 
Because - as weird as it may sound - it actually helped me with building self esteem and reduce self-doubt...it allowed me to accept myself for who I really am. 
This inner growth let me find my way back to my own creativity again - which also helps to support the healing process of acne bc it calms down the mind and reduces stress...You see: one little thing leads to another and everything has an impact to anotherโ™ฅ๏ธ

selflove Is it just me or is the temptation of the fridge a little stronger than usual at the moment? Do your eating habits feel a little all over the place? Are you experiencing more cravings? โ €โ €
Iโ€™m sharing this, because coming from a history of disordered eating - I know things could be coming up for people at this time. โ €โ €

Having healthy snack options to hand - fruits and veg sticks (with hummus/peanut butter) are great, but there are times they just donโ€™t cut it.โ €โ €
โ €โ €
* remember a huge aspect of food is the comfort it provides and this more than ever is something we should honour and be ok with at the moment as far as possible (within reason & comfort food can be healthy btw). The last thing we need to be doing is berating ourselves for eating a few extra snacks. Letโ€™s extend that kindness everyone is talking about to ourselves too ๐Ÿงก โ €โ €
That being said - we can take snacking too far, and that probably wouldnโ€™t make us feel physically or mentally great either. โ €โ €

If you find yourself doing this, ask yourself:โ €โ €
- are you eating enough in your main mealsโ €โ €
- are your meals well-balanced (protein, starchy carbs, a moderate amount of good quality fats + lots of rainbow veg)โ €โ €
- are you drinking enough water (at least 2-3L/day)โ €โ €
- are you sleeping enough (aim for 8-9 hours a night if you can)โ €โ €
- are you giving yourself time and space to slow down and process whatโ€™s going on (stress management)โ €โ €
- ladies ๐Ÿ’• where in youโ€™re cycle are you?โ €โ €

Are you actually hungry - or just bored/overwhelmed - this is so understandable at the moment, but there may be ways of dealing with it that actually make you feel better. โ €โ €
โœจTake a breath, think about what you really need, on a physical + soul level - maybe itโ€™s a few more deep breaths, calling a loved one, a few moments outside with your shoes off (if thatโ€™s available to you), reading a few chapters of your book.
