It is likely they have a more positive attitude, a healthier attitude toward life, a healthier microbiome, healthier immune system and nervous system. I can see the eyes roll, Really? You think your thoughts have anything to do with this you say? Yes, absolutely.
If you chronically think negative thoughts you chronically engage your body’s stress response, the body doesn't know the difference between whether something is physically happening or just in your imagination, it reacts the same way. People literally makes themselves throw-up on their way to chemo treatment. They haven’t even had the treatment, it is the thought of having the treatment that makes them sick.
So your thoughts can literally kill you, not over night, but when you chronically think negatively then this puts your body in a catabolic or break down mode and over time the body systems that are designed to keep you healthy become compromised so you’re more vulnerable to infection and you have less resiliency. Your attitudes, behaviors and beliefs have sooo much to do with your ability to heal. In essence when you’re fearful the body systems that are designed to keep you healthy are compromised. Seeing images of the hospitals with patients, nurses, and doctors in hazmat suits and then you feel like you’re coming down with something your fear begins to overwhelm you, making your symptoms worse than they might be had not known any of this information. That fear makes you degrade faster, that fear will compromise you further.

We've been focusing on eating real whole foods, getting loads of sunshine, laughing as much as possible and tuning OUT of the media hype. As I hammer home the importance of using this quarantine life to your advantage - I’d also like to share how important FOCUS is in general.

I know what it’s like to be a “dabbler”. Someone who participates in a bunch of different things, and rarely ever puts ALL their focus into ONE thing. A jack of all trades, if you will. 👌🏾 The dabbling behavior has gotten me nowhere. I had to learn the hard way that having a bunch of different projects or fulfilling a wide range of interests did nothing but keep me stagnate, frustrated and full of wonder.

The old saying is true. We can do anything we put our mind to... but we have to be ALL IN.

This graphic represents just that.
When your mind and energy is focused on one thing, chances are, you’ll soar to the moon in a hurry!

As you can see, if your focus is on many different things... you’ll make progress but you’ll be moving very slowly. And moving slowly is a trigger to giving up, frustration, doubt, low self-esteem and the feeling that nothing ever works for you. Have you ever heard someone say, “I’ve tried everything! Nothing works!” Of course you have, I have too. In fact, I used to think the same! 
I always knew I was capable of everything I’ve wanted to do, but I was going about it the wrong way.

That’s why I wanted to share this amazing graphic with you because it gave me an epiphany long ago to stop dabbling and focus on one thing at a time.

So, while you’re exploring ideas and working on getting to the next level, remember that energy is a powerful source and dominant force when it’s aimed in one direction. 💥 #TunnelVision 🥽

As if it’s not enough to make a mistake, say something hurtful, wrong another person, judge the actions of others (Because you’re perfect ya know!😉), or be impatient with the ones you love, it can be difficult to admit our wrongs and ask for forgiveness.😏 Isn’t it an amazing feeling when someone shows you grace?🥰 I think we could use a lot more of that these days, don’t you? 💗

How could you show grace to someone in your household who’s wearing on your last nerve?🙃
And what about a complete stranger who takes the last pack of toilet paper and makes a snide comment about it?😒 In case you’re wondering what this has to do with your health, it’s about the health of your spirit and soul that keeps your immune system humming as it should, all while the world falls apart all around you. wellbeing W h a t ? 💁🏼‍♀️ The only difference I can see is they are the beach and we are in the woods ? Jokes aside of course there is other differences...I have blonde hair 😂 I might have lost 30kg (last time I checked) but I still have a long way to go. I need to focus on strength and nutrition going forward. My body will never look like @triniti_jean (go check her out by the way she is amazing) But that’s ok I gave birth to two huge macrosomia boys, I doubled my body weight while battling an eating disorder #bingeeating and then lost a lot of weight in a small time frame I’m not expecting to look like this amazing woman. However I can’t wait to redo this pic one day and L not nearly break his back 🙋🏼‍♀️ I am reminding myself of patience and enjoying the journey that’s not just about weightloss although it’s a big part of it and I want to lose more it’s a total transformation of health, wellbeing, body and life style 💗

Some of us are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, tired, scared, lonely and everything in between, and I want you to remember that it is okay to feel whatever you are going through right now. I am not here to tell you to stay positive because that is not always realistic and possible, but I will recommend that you hold on and ride this gnarly wave out because this shall pass, as all things do. ❤ #Motivation

wellbeing So grocery shopping was the highlight of my week.  Strange times huh? I work in tech so quarantine life isn't that much different from my regular life.  Makes me think I should get out more.

Anyways my friend sent me this book she's reading where the government controls what you think.  I'm pretty sure we are in the parallel universe where they control where we go and who we see.  Life is stranger than fiction.

It's probably a time of introspection and reflection for a lot of people who are privileged enough to self isolate.  A difficult time for the world overall.  If you have been sleeping a lot or not feeling super motivated, know that you're not alone.  We'll get through this together, we're better when we lean on each other.

wellbeing #BeforeCorona hit, I had gathered all of the supplies to create a vision board for my personal new year (my bday that just passed in March (which will go down as the shittiest month of our generation)). I didn’t expect to be making a vision board under these circumstances. And part of me felt silly and self indulgent to be envisioning a future when I have no idea what things are going to look like after covid-19 is through with us. And even though the world is shifting, and it definitely will not go back to the way it was— I hope that we can shape a better and more equitable future for ourselves after this is all over. wellbeing So many of you guys have messaged me asking for recommendations on a product for pain relief and I thought it would be a great topic to do a whole post on! For the next few days, I’ll be going over some of the benefits of CBD oil and let you guys know which products I recommend for each benefit.

CBD oil is famous for its anti-inflammatory properties and pain relieving abilities. In our body we have a system called the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which is responsible for regulating several functions, including appetite, sleep, the immune system response, and pain. When you take CBD oil, it binds to the receptors in this ECS system and reduces inflammation which then helps to reduce chronic pain.

Van der Kolk writes: “Social support is not the same as merely being in the presence of others. The critical issue is reciprocity: being truly heard and seen by the people around us, feeling that we are held in someone else’s mind and heart. For our physiology to calm down, heal, and grow we need a visceral feeling of safety. No doctor can write a prescription for friendship and love: These are complex and hard-earned capacities.” Awesome read. Yes, reading a lot these days.

wellbeing yep the struggle is real for us as parents. But I like to look at things with positive outlook... This is a great opportunity for families to connect, to actually get to know each other well and to learn from each other. I have noticed my little man 4yo learning and picking up many new different skills just from me being around all the time, watching me and doing things with me...swiping the backyard, chopping wood (supervised!), cleaning up after himself and even making his own easy meal,snack... the best school ever. Don`t you think? 
Grab your opportunity this year is giving us and lead,teach your kiddies by example, with love, kindness and patience.

Now that many of us are experiencing changes in our daily lives, having a consistent routine is the key to continuing to thrive and help focus on the jobs that need to be done throughout the day. 
If you find your mind wondering, feelings of anxiousness and or overwhelm throughout the day. Set an alarm on your phone with .B, you may even like to send it in a message to your friends or family to remind them to breathe also. 
When breathing....
- Sit in a comfortable position, close your eyes
- Pay close attention to your breathing, feel the air come in through your nose, then feel your chest and belly. Calmly and slowly, let the breath leave your belly, then your chest and finally your nose. - Keep your shoulders dropped and relaxed, continue to notice the air coming into your body and out.
- If your mind begins to wonder, bring your attention back to your breath.
- Notice your stomach rising and falling, let your belly be soft and relaxed.
- Open your eyes slowly and take a slow deep breath. - 3 × 3 × 3... inhale, hold & exhale

Nevertheless, we are all doing our best to stay strong and healthy, both mentally and physically. This is for the medical staff worldwide who aren’t able to see their family while putting their lives at risk by trying to save the lives of our own families. This is for those of us who are suffering from major hits in the economy and aren’t able to provide the income at the rates we once were so blessed to do. This is for those of us who are extremely sick and are simply fighting for our lives. This is for those of us struggling right now to stay mentally strong, despite how hard depression, anxiety, and the trials & tribulations of life hit in the time period. We are here for you. Although working from home with a crowded noisy house is really hard I'm always thankful to have my health. Since being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes 6 years ago at 28, good health is not something I ever take for granted anymore. Having a chronic autoimmune illness that requires daily management I have more respect for how our bodies can work in beautiful harmony until sometimes they break and just don't. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As the panic subsides and urgency of our situation sinks in I'm hoping more of my creative spirit will return.
